Awareness of God

Welcome to Sabbath Moments, a wonderful meme hosted by Colleen at Thoughts on GraceAs Colleen says, “Sabbath moments are the moments we rest in God, when we take time to just Be with God rather than Do. Sabbath moments are also those times when we live in the moment and find the holy in the ordinary.”  Visit her to read other Catholic bloggers’ special times of God’s blessings.

clematis "Niobe"

This week the nice man who has been helping us get our yard in shape came over Friday and I got some yellow coreopsis put in.  Along with that we made a little bed for the clematis “Niobe” to rest in.  When it blooms it will cover the fence with red blossoms.  Half the fun for me is the anticipation of the beauty.

I also spent time reading the stories about Pope John Paul II in “Inside the Vatican”, which I highly recommend for a worldview of Catholicism.  And this week there were many good articles on the internet about him.  Surely it was motivation from the Holy Spirit that caused him to establish Divine Mercy Sunday and canonize St. Faustina.  If ever there were a time when the mercy of God is needed, it is now!
