Sunday Snippets – A Catholic Carnival

September 18, 2011

Welcome to RAnn’s Sunday meme where Catholic bloggers get together to share posts.  Even if you have nothing to share this week, please join us and comment freely.  You will find us at This That and the Other Thing.

My life this week has been spent coping with Hives and Gratitude, but I had some lovely Sabbath Moments with the neighbor and reflecting on simplicity, and I learned from a Benedictine nun a way to  practice Discernment.

In My Favorite Bishop I discussed how Bishop Slattery encourages his flock to practice the virtue of religion and I got on board with Father Robert Barron Showcasing the Beauty of the Catholic Faith.

Today I’m in the mood for the unusual and beautiful and maybe you are, too.  This image by Stephane Vetter won international landscape photography awards.  I picked it up from APOD.

Vetter’s site is in French and if you want some peaceful viewing of gorgeous images, visit here even if you don’t speak French.  Like music, photography is a universal language.

  5. I share your dream, but alas, I believe I shall observe them from heaven some day as I doubt I will ever be able to travel to where they are. I’m so glad you liked the photograph. It’s exciting to me whenever I discover a new (to me) photographic talent and I love sharing these discoveries with my readers.
